Hello, I'm Omar, and my journey into the world of software development is as unique as the skills I bring to the table. My professional path has been a dynamic blend of technical prowess, leadership experience, and a relentless commitment to excellence.

With a foundation in Structural Engineering, I've honed my abilities to break down complex problems and always return to first principles. From managing teams during lab work and providing instructions during engineering design and leading tutorial sessions for large groups of students, I've developed a versatility that extends from the technical to the interpersonal.

My academic journey reached its zenith with a perfect GPA in my Master's of Structural Engineering. I proudly stand as the sole recipient of the Robert Forsyth Award, a testament to my excellence in the theory of structural design. Scoring the highest final grade on three courses during my undergrad showcased my diligence, accuracy, and commitment to perfection in every task.

Transitioning into the professional realm, I rapidly gained expertise as a Junior Engineer at D.L. Turner Consultants Inc. in Montreal and Ojdrovic Engineering Inc. in Toronto, where I was responsible for the coordination, structural analysis, and design of diverse residential and industrial buildings. I seamlessly assumed several of the responsibilities of a seasoned senior engineer, demonstrating intelligence, dedication, and an unmatched ability to grasp and execute complex concepts with speed and precision.

Fueling my passion for technology, I've delved into coding, reaching a professional level in a short time. I am confident in my ability to contribute effectively as a software developer. My unique journey has equipped me with a rare blend of skills, enabling me to relate to all levels of management, collaborate across diverse teams, and tackle challenges with a holistic approach.

Beyond professional dedication, I enjoy endurance training and recreational rock climbing. I was the Teaching Assistants’ Representative of the Civil Engineering Graduate Student Society at McGill University. I have a passion for global exploration and culinary adventures, embracing the opportunity to travel and savor diverse cuisines.

Join me on this exciting journey where engineering principles meet the innovation of code, and where diverse experiences converge into a singular passion for excellence in software development.
